Mis Trabajos (Presente y Pasado):
Ada Eva Oliva known as “Eva” was born in Matanzas, Cuba on November 15, 1974. Arriving in Miami, Florida as a toddler, she grew up listening to Miami’s variety of Latin music. Eva had an interest in singing at a very young age. During her childhood and growing up in the 80’s she admired a lot of the American and Latin singers. She participated in school talent shows, and competitions during her younger years. When Eva was 14 years old, her brother, Alberto Nuñez, now her Manager, spoke to her about the Lord. Even though she was reluctant to a new form of life and a new way of believing, a friend of hers invited her to a church where she started becoming interested in the things of God. Once she gave her heart to the Lord, Jesus Christ, she started singing at church and enjoyed Christian music. Even though she was inspired by music, she never thought about becoming a singer until later on in life. During that time, she decided to go to College and finished her Associates Degree as a Paralegal, and finished her Bachelor Degree in Business Management. While studying her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, her step sister Maylibis Rodriguez (which has composed most of the songs in Eva‘s album) together with her brother, Alberto Nuñez, decided to do a new project for God. With so much talent in the family and Eva’s love for singing, they all knew that working together for God and his glory was one of the best things they can all do in their lives. So they all decided to work together in the album “Padre Usame” translating to “Father Use Me.” Eva: “This project means so much to me as I want the audience to be blessed and know that even though they will face trials in their lives, there is always hope and a new beginning. I want this album to be a blessing to others as it has been to me.” “Padre Usame” is an exciting new Contemporary Latin Christian CD with a message of love and faith that would fulfill anyone’s life with joy. The song “Ella Es Una Bendicion” was dedicated to Eva’s niece for her 15th birthday, which is a custom to the Latinos as the transition from childhood to womanhood, similar to a Sweet 16th birthday. The song is danced with an important male role model in her life (Father, Brother, Uncle, etc.). The song has great importance in this CD due to the fact that there are not many songs which are specifically for this type of celebration. Eva: “The song “Lo Imposible Dejamelo A Mi” which translates to “Leave the Impossible to Me” played a very important role in the making of this CD. Not only was this the first song created for this project, but it almost became impossible for us to complete. But only through the grace of God it was completed. Even though the CD was finished, our lives continue and no matter what we may face in life, remember this… Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
